THE ARTIST

Sachin Sathawane

Self-taught artist. Nagpur, India. Where feeling becomes form.

Sachin Sathawane – self-taught artist and founder of Pencil Spark, Nagpur India

THE BEGINNING

From Pharmaceutical Scientist to Artist

Pencil Spark was born from the belief that a wall should do more than fill a space — it should hold a feeling, start a conversation, or capture an idea that words alone cannot express.

Before I was an artist, I was a pharmaceutical scientist. That shift was not a departure from logic. It was the discovery that emotion is its own kind of precision — that a pencil stroke and a chemical formula are both acts of deep attention.

I do not create on request. I create when something inside demands to be made visible. Sometimes that is a conceptual digital composition — an abstract exploration of a thought I cannot articulate in words. Sometimes it is a colour pencil drawing — a face, a creature, or a form that stopped me and asked to be studied.

THE PHILOSOPHY

Every artwork at Pencil Spark begins with a concept — not a visual, but an idea. The art is the answer to a question that cannot be asked in words.

THE PRACTICE

Two disciplines — conceptual digital art and realistic colour pencil drawing — both rooted in the same conviction. Art is made to be felt, not just seen.

THE WORK

Original digital art prints and colour pencil drawings — created freely, without commission or compromise. Available to those who feel something when they see them.

THE WORK

Two Ways of Seeing

CONCEPTUAL DIGITAL ART

Ideas made visible

Abstract and geometric compositions that begin as a thought — a tension, an emotion, or a state of mind. Produced as premium framed prints.

COLOUR PENCIL DRAWINGS

Where emotion takes form

Realistic portraits and figurative works rendered with patient colour pencil technique. Drawn because the subject demanded to be seen.

I learned discipline through science, and compassion through art. Between precision and perception, I found my purpose.
