Lumina explores the presence of light within a restrained geometric field. A small luminous circular form becomes the central point of attention, surrounded by structured colour blocks, linear elements, and expansive negative space. Rather than depicting a specific source of light, the work considers how a concentrated point of brightness can influence the perception of an entire space.
 
Project Description
 
The work is built around the idea that light does not need to occupy much space to influence the space around it. The isolated circular form functions as a concentrated point of visual energy, gaining significance through its relationship with the surrounding geometric structure and emptiness.
 
Visual Narrative
 
The eye encounters the concentrated geometric arrangement before moving toward the smaller luminous circle and then across the horizontal bands below. The visual journey moves between structure, space, and presence, with the isolated circular form acting as a quiet focal point within the larger field.
 
Neuroaesthetic Approach
 
Geometric order, colour contrast, repetition, isolation, and generous negative space create a balance between visual stimulation and perceptual rest. The small luminous form provides a clear focal anchor, while the surrounding openness allows the eye to pause and gradually explore the composition.
 
Artistic Approach
 
Developed through Field Modularism, the work combines geometric colour fields, rectangular modules, horizontal lines, circular form, and controlled negative space. Precise relationships between scale, position, spacing, and colour allow the luminous element to remain visually distinct without dominating the composition.
