Passing Warmth
Form of Feeling Series
Overview
Passing Warmth explores the fleeting nature of human connection and the emotional traces left behind by meaningful encounters. Through soft organic forms, warm earth tones, and spacious composition, the artwork reflects how moments of closeness can quietly transform us, even after they have passed.
Visual Narrative
Two overlapping forms meet briefly at the centre of the composition, creating a moment of connection without complete union. Their intersection becomes a space of exchange, where warmth, understanding, and presence emerge. Beneath them, a dark circular form anchors the composition, symbolising the depth and intensity of an emotional experience. Above, a delicate hollow circle appears suspended in open space, suggesting memory, absence, and the impermanent nature of all feelings. Large surrounding forms frame the encounter, creating a visual environment of softness, protection, and emotional resonance.
Philosophy
Passing Warmth reflects the understanding that human experiences are temporary by nature. Relationships, encounters, and emotions arise, evolve, and eventually fade. Yet their value is not diminished by impermanence. The artwork suggests that beauty exists precisely because moments cannot be held forever. What remains is not the experience itself, but the subtle transformation it leaves within us.
Neuroaesthetic Approach
Soft organic shapes, rounded edges, and warm tonal relationships create a sense of emotional comfort and visual ease. Earthy browns evoke grounding and human connection, while muted peach and terracotta tones introduce warmth, openness, and emotional familiarity. The contrast between solid and hollow forms creates gentle visual tension, encouraging contemplation without disrupting the overall sense of calm. Together, color and composition support reflective viewing and emotional resonance.
Artistic Approach
Using a minimalist visual language of form, color, and spatial relationships, the artwork transforms an intangible emotional experience into a universal visual expression. The composition relies on suggestion rather than narrative, allowing viewers to project their own memories, relationships, and moments of connection into the work.
Interior Aesthetic
Its warm palette and contemporary composition complement modern, Scandinavian, Japandi, wabi-sabi, and minimalist interiors. The artwork brings emotional depth, warmth, and quiet sophistication to living rooms, bedrooms, studios, reading spaces, and contemplative environments.
