Overview
 
Pulse explores concentrated energy within an open spatial field through geometric forms, colour, rhythm, and negative space. A contained purple geometric field, intersecting colour modules, a solitary circular form, and horizontal bands create a composition that balances visual activity with stillness. Rather than depicting a literal pulse, the work expresses the idea through point, line, colour, repetition, and space.
 
Project Description
 
The central idea of Pulse is the presence of movement within stillness. The upper geometric field contains overlapping modules and intersecting lines, while the white circular form introduces a quiet point of interruption. The horizontal bands below continue the visual rhythm across the open space, transforming the idea of a pulse into an abstract relationship between concentration, interruption, release, and repetition.
 
Visual Narrative
 
The composition moves from a concentrated upper geometric field toward an open lower field. The eye travels through the coloured modules and intersecting lines before reaching the isolated circular form and continuing toward the horizontal bands. This creates a visual sequence of concentration → interruption → release → repetition.
 
Neuroaesthetic Approach
 
The artwork uses geometric order, controlled repetition, colour contrast, and negative space to organise visual information. The structured upper field creates controlled complexity, while the isolated circular form and open areas provide moments of visual rest. This balance encourages gradual eye movement and a contemplative viewing experience.
